Shop Statement Vases for Consoles, Coffee Tables & Dining Spaces
Shop statement vases that add shape, height, texture, or color where the room needs it. Our selection includes ceramic, glass, stoneware, terracotta, cement, and other decorative vessels for consoles, coffee tables, dining tables, mantels, shelves, and sideboards.
At Maison Rose Interiors, we choose pieces that can work with flowers, branches, dried stems, or no arrangement at all. Start with the surface and the space around it, then choose the form that fits.
Shop Ceramic, Glass & Sculptural Vases
Material changes both the appearance and the way a vase can be used. Ceramic vases can bring texture, soft color, or a stronger shape to a room. Glass keeps the look lighter and can show the stems inside. Terracotta has a warmer surface, while cement can carry more visual weight on a large console or dining table.
Pieces such as the Konos Vase use a wide cement form and textured white finish, so they can hold their own on a larger surface. The Replay Vase uses ceramic with glossy and matte stripes for a different type of contrast.
We recommend choosing material based on the room, the surface, and the way you plan to use the vessel.
Choose a Vase Size That Fits the Surface
Height is only part of the decision. Width and footprint matter too. A tall, narrow vase may work beside books or a smaller lamp. A wide sculptural piece may need more open space around it. On a coffee table, check that the vase leaves enough usable surface. On a console, compare its height with the mirror, artwork, or lighting behind it.
Mark the footprint before ordering if the piece is large. That quick check can show whether the vase will feel balanced or crowded.
Branches and stems also change the final scale. A 12-inch vessel can become a much taller arrangement once florals are added, so check both the vase height and the finished arrangement.
Vases for Consoles, Coffee Tables & Dining Tables
Placement changes the type of vase that works best.
A console table can often carry more height because you see it from farther away. Larger forms also work well when the wall above has substantial artwork or a mirror.
A coffee table often needs a lower profile so the vase does not block sightlines or take over the usable surface.
A dining table needs enough presence to hold the center, but tall flowers or branches can get in the way of conversation.
A mantel or shelf may call for a narrower footprint, especially when books, frames, or other objects already share the space.
If you are styling more than the vase itself, our Home Decor & Lifestyle selection can help you finish the surrounding surface without loading it with too many pieces. A vase may provide the height, while a smaller accent can handle the next layer.
If the surface already has enough shape and scale, our soy candles can add fragrance and a smaller point of light without competing with the vase.
Maison Rose Interiors looks at the furniture and open space around each piece, not the vessel by itself.
Fresh Flowers, Dried Stems or an Empty Vase?
Not every statement vase needs flowers. A strong silhouette, carved surface, reactive finish, or unusual shape can work as the focal object on its own. Leaving it empty can also keep a styled surface from becoming too busy.
Fresh flowers work well when the room needs color or softer shapes. Dried stems and branches can add height with less upkeep.
The Claribel Vase uses a wavy ceramic form and reactive finish that can stand on its own without an arrangement.
For a detailed vase, we often keep the florals simple. For a quieter vessel, flowers or branches can carry more of the color and movement.
Check the Material Before Adding Water
A decorative vase does not always mean a watertight vase. Replay has watertight ceramic construction and can hold fresh flowers. Terracotta works differently. Some porous vessels may need a watertight liner or may work better with dried or faux stems.
Check the individual product details before adding water, especially with terracotta, papier-mâché, cement, or other porous materials.
The base matters too. Use surface protection when a heavy, rough, or moisture-sensitive vessel sits on delicate wood, stone, or lacquered furniture.
Check Width, Height & Finish Before You Buy Online
Product photos can make scale hard to judge. Read the listed dimensions and compare them with the exact spot where the vase will sit. Check:
-
overall height
-
widest point
-
opening size
-
material
-
finish
-
water suitability

care instructions
Handmade glass, reactive ceramic finishes, hand-pressed terracotta, and textured surfaces may show small differences from one piece to another.
Maison Rose Interiors also lists product-specific shipping, care, and return information, so review the individual listing before checkout.
Selected With the Whole Room in Mind
Founder and principal designer Rose Schneider brings more than a decade of interior design experience across residential projects, remodels, new builds, and commercial spaces.
Maison Rose Interiors carries that room-based approach into the Shoppe. We consider scale, material, furniture, lighting, and the open space around a piece.
A vase should relate to the room without matching every finish or object around it. Shape, color, material, or scale can create that connection.
Statement Vase FAQs
Can a Statement Vase Work Without Flowers?
Yes. Sculptural form, texture, color, or finish can give a decorative vase enough presence on its own.
Can Every Decorative Vase Hold Fresh Flowers?
No. Some vessels are watertight, while porous or dry-use materials may need an inner liner or dried stems. Check the individual product details before adding water.
Do Vase Width and Height Both Matter?
Yes. Height affects vertical balance, while width determines how much surface space the piece takes up. Both matter when choosing a vase online.
Can I Use a Large Vase on a Coffee Table?
Yes, if the footprint leaves enough usable space and the height does not block sightlines. A lower, wider form can work better than a tall arrangement on many coffee tables.
Can I Mix Different Vase Materials?
Yes. Ceramic, glass, terracotta, stoneware, and cement can work together when the pieces share a relationship in scale, color, or shape. Leave enough open space so each form can be seen.
